Analysis on the effect of modified Qianjin Weijian Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To explore the effect of modified Qianjin Weijian Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods 86 elderly patients with COPD were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment,and the observation group received modified Qianjin Weijian Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine treatment.Patients in both groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions after treatment,pulmonary function indicators[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),FEV1/FVC]and severity of dyspnea.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.67%,which was significantly higher than 83.72%of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,FEV1,FVC and FEV1/FVC in the observation group were(2.61±1.02)L,(3.05±0.57)L and(85.45±14.33)%,which were significantly higher than(1.94±0.95)L,(2.54±0.64)L and(76.45±13.28)%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,COPD assessment test(CAT)scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group had lower CAT score of(7.69±2.42)points than(15.62±4.53)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 6.98%,which was significantly lower than 23.26%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For elderly patients with COPD,modified Qianjin Weijian Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine can effectively improve the therapeutic effect,alleviate the severity of dyspnea,improve the lung function of patients,and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions,so it can be widely applied.
