Study on clinical effect of Houyanqing granules in the treatment of acute tonsillitis in children
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Houyanqing granules in the treatment of acute tonsillitis in children.Methods 106 children with acute tonsillitis were randomly divided into a control group and a study group,with 53 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the study group was treated with Houyanqing granules.The therapeutic effect,inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)]levels,immune indexes[immunoglobulin(Ig)G,IgA,IgM]levels and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 94.3%,which was higher than 75.5%of the control group(P<0.05).The study group had IL-6 of(28.5±6.6)pg/ml,PCT of(0.2±0.1)ng/ml and CRP of(9.3±2.4)mg/L,which were lower than(34.5±8.2)pg/ml,(0.8±0.1)ng/ml and(13.6±3.2)mg/L in the control group;the study group had IgG of(9.5±2.6)g/L,IgA of(1.5±0.7)mg/L and IgM of(1.9±0.6)g/L,which were higher than(8.1±2.3)g/L,(1.2±0.8)mg/L and(1.5±0.6)g/L in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of nausea,vomiting,diarrhea and rash in the study group were 0,0,1.9%and 1.9%,which were lower than 9.4%,7.5%,13.2%and 13.2%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Houyanqing granules combined with conventional western medicine has obvious effect in the treatment of acute tonsillitis in children,which can effectively improve the specific clinical symptoms of children,eliminate inflammatory reaction,improve the immune function,and reduce the overall incidence of adverse reactions.It can be widely used.
