Study on the effect of Yueju Pill combined with olanzapine on sleep quality and negative symptoms in schizophrenic patients
Objective To explore the effect of Yueju Pill combined with olanzapine on sleep quality and negative symptoms in schizophrenic patients.Methods 76 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into a control group and a study group using a lottery method,with 38 patients in each group.The control group was treated with olanzapine,while the study group was treated with olanzapine combined with Yueju Pills.The psychiatric symptom score,sleep quality score,occurrence of adverse reaction and quality of life score were compared between the two groups.Results The negative symptom score of the study group was(14.54±5.89)points and the score of Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS)was(43.06±18.33)points,which were lower than(23.22±5.02)and(51.46±17.02)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the study group,the score of sleep disorder was(0.69±0.12)points,the score of sleep latency was(0.61±0.15)points,the score of sleep time was(0.67±0.16)points,the score of daytime dysfunction was(0.75±0.21)points,the score of sleep efficiency was(0.68±0.12)points,the score of hypnotic drug use was(0.73±0.15)points,and the subjective sleep quality score was(0.74±0.21)points,which were lower than(1.11±0.13),(1.06±0.12),(1.20±0.15),(1.30±0.17),(1.22±0.14),(1.34±0.16),and(1.24±0.30)points in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the physiological,psychological,mental and environmental scores of both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment;the physiological score of the study group was(80.46±8.26)points,the psychological score was(81.35±8.16)points,the mental score was(80.22±8.39)points and the environmental score was(81.02±8.11)points,which were higher than(72.28±7.31),(72.14±6.98),(70.65±7.38)and(72.36±7.43)points of the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of olanzapine and Yueju Pills for the treatment of schizophrenia can improve the sleep quality,negative symptoms and quality of life score of patients,and it has high safety.
