Objective To evaluate the prognostic effect and safety of atorvastatin calcium in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 106 ACI patients were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=53,treated with simvastatin)and an observation group(n=53,treated with atorvastatin calcium tablets). The clinical efficacy, adverse drug reactions, degree of neurological impairment, and rehabilitation were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.23%,which was higher than 81.13%of control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score in both groups was lower than that before treatment, and the NIHSS score of(4.55±1.20)points in the observation group was lower than(5.60±1.40)points in the control group. The difference was significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of oxidized low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in both groups were lower than those before treatment;the observation group had ox-LDL of(46.78±4.45)μg/dl and hs-CRP of(3.22±1.01)mg/L,which were lower than(57.32±4.55)μg/dl and(8.72±1.20)mg/L in the control group;the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Atorvastatin calcium tablets are safe and effective in the treatment of ACI,and can promote the improvement of neurological function and clinical recovery in patients.
