Analysis of clinical effect of berberine plus quadruple therapy on Helicobacter pylori-positive peptic ulcer
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of berberine hydrochloride(alternative name:berberine)combined with quadruple therapy in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-positive peptic ulcer,so as to provide reference for clinicians to choose a rational drug regimen.Methods A total of 204 patients with Hp-positive peptic ulcer were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into a control group and an observation group by random table method,each included 102 samples.The control group received conventional quadruple therapy,while the observation group received a combination of berberine and quadruple therapy.The symptom improvement time,Hp clearance rate and recurrence rate,clinical therapeutic effect and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results In the observation group,the disappearance time of acid reflux,belching and abdominal pain and the ulcer healing time were(2.95±0.51),(3.85±0.44),(5.65±0.88)and(8.74±0.85)d,which shorter than(4.35±0.85),(6.85±0.61),(7.51±1.38)and(12.45±1.28)d in the control group(P<0.05).The Hp clearance rate and recurrence rate were 96.1%and 3.9%in the observation group,and 80.4%and 17.6%in the control group;comparing the two groups,the patients in the observation group had a higher Hp clearance rate and a lower recurrence rate(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 98.0%,and that in the control group was 90.2%;comparing the two groups,the observation group was higher(P<0.05).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.0%(2/102),and there was no difference compared with 3.9%(4/102)in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Application of quadruple therapy combined with berberine in patients with Hp-positive peptic ulcer can rapidly improve clinical symptoms,enhance the therapeutic effect,and at the same time improve the Hp clearance rate and lower the recurrence rate,which is worthy of promotion.
