Effect analysis of gastrodin injection combined with betahistine mesylate on symptom relief in emergency room patients with vertigo
Objective To analyze the effect of gastrodin injection combined with betahistine mesylate on symptom relief in emergency patients with vertigo.Methods A total of 115 emergency room patients with vertigo were divided into a control group(57 cases)and an observation group(58 cases)by double-blind method.The control group was treated with betahistine mesylate alone,and the observation group was treated with gastrodin injection combined with betahistine mesylate.Patients in both groups were compared in terms of disappearance time of clinical symptoms,hemorheology indexes(whole blood viscosity,hematocrit,erythrocyte aggregation index),daily living ability,quality of life,incidence of adverse reactions,and clinical effect.Results The disappearance time of vertigo,nausea/vomiting and abnormal balance function in the observation group were(3.83±1.74),(5.36±1.78)and(5.49±1.76)d,which were shorter than(5.98±1.89),(8.91±2.08)and(9.25±1.87)d in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the whole blood viscosity in the observation group was(4.26±0.89)mPa·s,the hematocrit was(0.37±0.04)and the erythrocyte aggregation index was(3.76±0.32),which were lower than(5.17±0.82)mPa·s,(0.40±0.06)and(4.57±0.27)in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the scores of activities of daily living(ADL)and Spitzer's quality of life index were(77.59±4.27)and(7.53±1.39)points in the observation group,which were higher than(71.34±3.95)and(6.14±1.46)points in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.90%in the observation group,which was lower than 21.05%in the control group(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 96.55%,which was higher than 84.21%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the emergency treatment of vertigo patients,gastrodin injection combined with betahistine mesylate can alleviate clinical symptoms,improve hemorheology,enhance patients'daily living ability,quality of life and therapeutic effect,and the incidence of adverse reactions is low,which is worthy of recommendation.
