Comparison of therapeutic effects between Shumian capsules and eszopiclone in the treatment of mild-to-moderate insomnia disorder in depression
Objective To compare the clinical effect of between Shumian capsules and eszopiclone in the treatment of mild-to-moderate insomnia disorder in depression. Methods 98 depression patients with mild-to-moderate insomnia disorder were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each consisting of 49 patients. The control group received eszopiclone for treatment, while the experimental group received Shumian capsules for treatment.Comparison was made on the treatment effect,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score,Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)score, and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Results The total effective rate was 95.92%in the experimental group and 73.47%in the control group;the total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and there was statistical significance in comparison(P<0.05).After treatment,PSQI score of both groups decreased compared with that before treatment;the experimental group had PSQI score of(8.47±1.21)points,which was lower than(9.56±1.56)points of the control group;there was statistical significance in comparison(P<0.05).After treatment,HAMD score of both groups decreased compared with that before treatment, and the experimental group had HAMD score of(9.97±2.72)points,which was lower than(12.14±3.02)points of the control group;there was statistical significance in comparison(t=3.737,P=0.000<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.08%in the experimental group and 12.24%in the control group, and there was no statistical significance in comparison(P>0.05).Conclusion The effect of Shumian capsule for the treatment of mild to moderate insomnia in depression is better than that of eszopiclone.
