The effect of exercise therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and dietary care on the recovery of spleen and stomach function in patients with gastritis
Objective To observe the effect of exercise therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and dietary care on the recovery of spleen and stomach function in patients with gastritis. Methods 80 patients with gastritis were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received conventional intervention, and the observation group received exercise therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and dietary care. Both groups were compared in terms of gastrointestinal motility indicators[antral contraction amplitude(ACA),antral contraction frequency(ACF),antral motility index(MI)]levels, serum gastrointestinal hormones[serum gastrin(GAS),somatostatin(SS),motilin(MTL)]levels, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,Barthel index and quality of life before and after intervention, and satisfaction. Results After intervention,ACA,ACF and MI in both groups increased compared with those before intervention;the observation group had ACA of(53.13±5.28)mm Hg/2 h(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),ACF of(72.45±6.76)times/h and MI of(14.58±2.12),which were higher than(47.51±4.25)mm Hg/2 h,(65.32±6.65)times/h and(12.41±2.05)in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,GAS and SS levels in both groups were lower than those before intervention, while MTL level was higher than that before intervention;the observation group had GAS of(62.42±5.32)ng/L and SS of(20.42±2.53)pg/ml,which were lower than(68.31±6.14)ng/L and(25.63±2.78)pg/ml in the control group;MTL of(76.83±7.33)pg/ml in the observation group was higher than(70.37±6.80)pg/ml in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score in both groups were lower than that before intervention, and the Barthel index was higher than that before intervention;the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of(2.01±0.76)points in the observation group was lower than(3.63±0.67)points in the control group, and Barthel index of(80.38±5.43)points was higher than(68.37±5.72)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of physiology, psychology, society, environment, independence, spiritual world/religion/personal belief in both groups were improved compared with those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of the observation group was 95.00%,which was higher than 80.00% of tthe control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Exercise therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and dietary care has a promoting effect on the recovery of spleen and stomach function and the improvement of daily living ability and quality of life in patients with gastritis, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
