Study on the effect of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation on the quality of life of elderly patients with chronic heart failure
Objective To study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation on the quality of life of elderly patients with chronic heart failure. Methods 98 elderly patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into an observation group(50 cases)and a control group(48 cases). The control group received conventional treatment, and the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation on the basis of the control group. The cardiac function and quality of life of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and 6-min walking distance(6MWD)(P>0.05).After treatment, the observation group had LEVF of(52.28±8.33)%,LVEDD of(51.27±6.33)mm,and 6 MWD of(381.49±60.76)m,which were better than(44.16±7.15)%,(56.95±9.22)mm,and(249.40±40.38)m in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in quality of life score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the quality of life score of(87.73±13.97)points in the observation group was better than(81.49±13.19)points in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation in elderly patients with chronic heart failure is of great significance to improve the patients'cardiac function and quality of life, and is worth recommending.
