Study on the effect of doula accompanying delivery on delivery outcome of parturients undergoing painless delivery
Objective To explore the effect of doula accompanying delivery on delivery outcome of parturients undergoing painless delivery. Methods A total of 120 parturients admitted for painless delivery between August 1,2022 and August 31,2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an experimental group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine painless delivery, and the experimental group received doula accompanying painless delivery. Both groups were compared in terms of duration of labor,self-control score, delivery mode, maternal and infant outcomes and prenatal and postnatal prolactin changes. Results After delivery, the cesarean section rate(3.33% )was lower and the normal delivery rate(96.67% )was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group(20.00% and 80.00% )(P<0.05).After delivery, the duration of the first, second and third stages of labor[(4.18±0.42)h,(0.56±0.26)h and(7.62±0.34)min]was shorter in the experimental group compared to the control group[(6.29±0.45)h,(1.45±0.32)h and(7.99±0.39)min](P<0.05).Compared with(118.76±12.43)points in the control group, the self-control sense score in the experimental group was higher at(173.72±15.92)points(P<0.05).After delivery, the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal asphyxia, and episiotomy(1.67%,0,and 8.62% )was lower in the experimental group compared to the control group(11.67%,6.67%,and 25.86% )(P<0.05).Prenatally,there was no difference in the comparison of prolactin between the groups(P>0.05).At 2 and 24 h postpartum, the comparison of prolactin between groups was higher in the experimental group(P<0.05).Conclusion Doula accompanied delivery can effectively improve the delivery outcome of painless delivery, enhance the sense of self-control,shorten the duration of labor, improve the vaginal delivery rate, and increase the postnatal prolactin level, which has significant clinical application value.
