Comparison of the therapeutic effects of interlocking intramedullary nail fixation and compression plate fixation on patients with bone non-union after traumatic fractures of the limbs
Objective To compared the effect of interlocking intramedullary nail fixation and compression plate fixation on patients with bone non-union after traumatic fractures of the limbs. Methods 66 patients with bone non-union after traumatic fractures of the limbs were selected. They were divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, each with 33 patients.Patients in the control group underwent compression plate fixation, while patients in the observation group were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation. The surgical effect, operative indicators, postoperative recovery indicators, postoperative complications, motor function, living ability and knee joint function were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent rate of surgical efficacy was 90.91%(30/33)in the observation group, which was higher than 63.64%(21/33)in the control group(P<0.05).In the observation group, the surgical time was(131.50±15.50)min,the incision length was(15.30±2.50)cm,the postoperative hospitalization time was(10.50±1.50)d,and the recovery time of the affected limb was(22.05±2.20)weeks,which were shorter than(164.50±16.05)min,(18.30±3.30)cm,(15.50±1.50)d,and(35.50±2.50)weeks in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss of(365.50±22.50)ml in the observation group was less than(453.50±30.60)ml in the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate of patients in the observation group was 6.06%,which was lower than 24.24%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of motor function, living ability and knee joint function of patients in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of interlocking intramedullary nail fixation for the treatment of bone non-union after traumatic fractures of the limbs has high safety and effectiveness. The surgical injury is minimal, the recovery is fast, and it promotes the recovery of patient's motor function, living ability, and knee joint function.
