Study on correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and traditional Chinese medicine constitution
Objective To explore the correlation between Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection and traditional Chinese medicine constitution.Methods 175 patients were selected and divided into infected group(85 cases)and non-infected group(90 cases)according to whether they were infected with Hp or not.The single factor of Hp infection was analyzed,and the levels of gastric function indexes[pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ),pepsinogen Ⅱ(PG Ⅱ),ratio of PG Ⅰ/PG Ⅱ(PGR),and gastrin-17(G-17)]were compared between the two groups of patients,and the influencing factors of Hp infection were analyzed.Results Age,lack of exercise,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),body mass index(BMI)and traditional Chinese medicine constitution were compared between the two groups(P<0.2).Gender,diet,rest,smoking,drinking,high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),fasting blood glucose(GLU),uric acid(UA),systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were compared between the two groups(P>0.2).The levels of PGⅠ,PGⅡ and G-17 in the infected group were higher than those in the non-infected group,and the PGR was lower than that in the non-infected group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Age,lack of exercise,TC,TG,BMI,and Chinese medicine constitution in the univariate analysis were taken as independent variables,and Hp infection or not as dependent variables were included in multivariate Logistic regression analysis,and after adjusting for the variables,the statistical results were shown to indicate that age,lack of exercise,Yin-deficiency constitution,Qi-depression constitution,blood stasis constitution,damp-heat constitution,TC,and BMI were the influencing factors for Hp infection(OR=1.043,2.344,6.716,3.643,6.233,18.110,0.632,0.904;P<0.05).The risk of traditional Chinese medicine constitution for Hp infection was in the order of damp-heat constitution>Yin-deficiency constitution>blood stasis constitution>Qi-depression constitution.Conclusion Damp-heat constitution,Yin-deficiency constitution,blood stasis constitution and Qi-depression constitution are susceptible to Hp infection,and Hp infection is associated with impaired gastric function.
