Observation of curative effect of medicated cupping of Chinese medicine on patients with lumbar disc herniation of Qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type
Objective To study the therapeutic effect of medicated cupping of Chinese medicine on patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH)of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Methods 60 patients with LDH of Qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine treatment and nursing, and the experimental group added medicated cupping of Chinese medicine on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, occurrence of adverse reactions, visual analogue scale(VAS)score,Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score and quality of life score were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was 93.33%,which was higher than the control group's 73.33%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,VAS score,JOA score, physical health score and mental health score in both groups were better than those before treatment;the experimental group had VAS score of(1.88±0.52)points,JOA score of(22.88±1.19)points,physiological health score of(86.07±6.87)points and mental health score of(75.57±6.51)points,which were better than(2.92±0.57),(19.47±0.93),(75.81±6.07)and(67.95±6.14)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Medicated cupping of Chinese medicine for LDH patients of Qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type can effectively improve clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients.
