Analysis of the value of leucorrhea routine and 3 tests for bacterial vaginosis in assessing vaginal microecology in women
Objective To analyze the value of leucorrhea routine and 3 tests for bacterial vaginosis(BV)in assessing vaginal microecology in women. Methods In 110 women undergoing routine physical examination, vaginal secretions were collected for pH measurement, assessment of vaginal cleanliness, and 3 tests of sialidase, hydrogen peroxide and leucocyte esterase for bacterial vaginosis. The vaginal microecology of the 110 subjects was analyzed;the results of routine leukorrhea and the 3 tests for bacterial vaginosis were compared among subjects with different vaginal microecology. Results Among the 110 subjects, there were 41 cases of normal flora status,29 cases of dysbiosis,10 cases of hyperproliferation of flora, and 30 cases of inhibition of flora, accounted for 37.27%,26.36,9.09%,and 27.27%,respectively.The percentages of vaginal pH≤4.6 in the subjects with dysbiosis and inhibition of flora were 13.79% and 6.67%,which were significantly lower than 97.56% of the subjects with normal vaginal microecology(P<0.05).The percentage of vaginal cleanliness of grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ in the subjects with dysbiosis, overproliferation and inhibition of flora were 10.34%,40.00% and 36.67%,which was significantly lower than 95.12% in the subjects with normal vaginal microecology(P<0.05).Sialidase,hydrogen peroxide and leucocyte esterase were mostly negative in normal vaginal microecology subjects. The positive rates of hydrogen peroxide in patients with dysbiosis and inhibition of flora were significantly higher than those in patients with normal vaginal microecology(P<0.05).The positive rate of leukocyte esterase in the patients with dysbiosis, overproliferation and inhibition of flora was significantly higher than that in the patients with normal vaginal microecology(P<0.05).The positive rate of sialidase in subjects with dysbiosis was higher than that in subjects with normal vaginal microecology(P<0.05).Conclusion Leucorrhea routine and 3 tests for bacterial vaginosis are effective methods for assessing the vaginal microecology of a woman and are of great clinical value in the maintenance of vaginal health.
