Analysis of the value of interventional ultrasound in differential diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer
Objective To explore the value of interventional ultrasound in differential diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer. Methods 96 patients with suspected peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer were subjected to conventional ultrasound and interventional ultrasound. With surgical pathology as the gold standard, the diagnostic results of the two methods were counted, and the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the differential diagnosis of the two methods were compared. The ultrasound findings of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer were analyzed. Results The results of surgical pathology showed that 81 cases(84.38% )were positive for peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer, while 15 cases(15.63% )were negative.Conventional ultrasound diagnosed 72 positive cases and 24 negative cases;interventional ultrasound diagnosed 81 positive cases and 15 negative cases. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of interventional ultrasound for the differential diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer were 98.77%,93.33% and 97.92%,respectively,which were significantly higher than 80.25%,53.33% and 76.04% of conventional ultrasound(P<0.05).The ultrasound findings of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer were mainly cancerous ascites and metastatic tumor nodules, with a diameter of 0.6-4.5 cm and an average of(1.6±0.6)cm.There was a wide band of uneven thickening of the greater omentum, and the thinnest peritoneal thickness was 0.36 cm.Conclusion The diagnostic value of interventional ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of peritoneal metastasis of primary ovarian cancer is significant, which can improve sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, and provide accurate basis for subsequent treatment.
