Analysis of the effect of induction of labor by water sac combined with oxytocin on pregnancy outcome
Objective To analyze the effect of induction of labor by water sac combined with oxytocin on pregnancy outcome. Methods 80 pregnant women with induction of labor were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group used water sacs combined with oxytocin for induction of labor, while the control group used conventional induction of labor.Comparison was made on the time from induction to labor, bleeding volume,Bishop score, vaginal delivery status, and neonatal asphyxia between two groups. Results There was no significant difference in bleeding volume and Bishop score before intervention between the two groups(P>0.05).The time from induction to labor of(11.27±3.22)h in the observation group was shorter than(20.43±5.12)h in the control group, and the Bishop score of(10.23±1.53)points after intervention was higher than(8.32±2.45)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group(87.5% )was significantly higher than that in the control group(60.0% ),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in neonatal asphyxia rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Induction of labor by water sac combined with oxytocin for pregnant women can shorten the labor time and improve the vaginal delivery rate without affecting the birth outcome of newborns.
