A study on the effect of the combination of Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pills and metoprolol in the treatment of coronary heart disease with angina pectoris in the elderly
Objective To analyze the effect of the combination of Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pills and metoprolol in the treatment of coronary heart disease(CHD)with angina pectoris in the elderly.Methods A total of 82 elderly patients with CHD and angina pectoris were selected and divided into a control group and a study group using random number table,with 41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with metoprolol,and the study group was treated with Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pills on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,duration and frequency of angina attacks and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of 95.12% in the study group was higher than 78.05% in the control group(P＜0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the duration of angina attacks(3.00±0.50)min/time in the study group was shorter than(4.12±0.49)min/time in the control group,and the frequency of angina attacks of(2.10±0.52)times/week was shorter than(3.03±0.47)times/week in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The combination of Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pills and metoprolol is reliable in treating CHD with angina pectoris in the elderly,and can effectively inhibit the duration and frequency of angina attacks,with ideal safety.
