Effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation combined with auricular points plaster therapy on blood glucose and pregnancy outcome of gestational diabetes mellitus patients
Objective To study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation combined with auricular points plaster therapy for gestational diabetes mellitus patients,and observe its influence on their blood glucose and pregnancy outcome.Methods 200 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus were selected and divided into a control group(98 cases)and a treatment group(102 cases)according to computer random method.The control group was given exercise and nutrition guidance treatment,and the treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation combined with auricular points plaster therapy on the basis of the control group.The blood glucose indicators,islet function and lipid metabolism indicators before and after treatment,pregnancy outcome and therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the treatment group had glycated hemoglobin of(5.50±0.26)%,fasting blood glucose of(5.38±0.71)mmol/L,and 2 h postprandial blood glucose of(7.62±0.79)mmol/L,which were significantly lower than(6.34±0.30)%,(5.96±0.87)mmol/L,and(8.40±1.03)mmol/L of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the treatment group had islet β-cell secretion index of(1.91±0.13)and insulin resistance index of(2.74±0.60),which were significantly lower than(2.25±0.10)and(3.07±0.87)of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the treatment group had triacylglycerol of(1.32±0.25)mmol/L and total cholesterol of(5.95±0.72)mmol/L,which were significantly lower than(1.76±0.31)and(6.83±0.90)mmol/L in the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of 91.18% in the treatment group was significantly higher than 78.57% in the control group(P＜0.05).The natural delivery rate in the treatment group was 81.37%,and the neonatal Apgar score at 5 min was(8.56±0.32)points,which were significantly higher than 68.37% and(6.39±0.27)points in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation combined with auricular points plaster therapy on gestational diabetes mellitus patients is remarkable,which can improve the blood glucose and abnormal lipid metabolism of patients,optimize the pancreatic islet function,and have a positive impact on the pregnancy outcome.
