Analysis of laboratory screening for group B Streptococcus and related drug sensitivity test results in women in late pregnancy
Objective To investigate the laboratory screening for group B Streptococcus (GBS) and related drug sensitivity test results in women in late pregnancy. Methods 3983 pregnant women who voluntarily accept prenatal GBS screening were taken as research subjects, vaginal swabs were used for bacterial culture to screen GBS infection and the corresponding strains were analyzed by drug sensitivity test. Results A total of 3983 pregnant women were screened,231 strains of GBS were detected, the positive rate was 5.80%. The sensitivity rate of GBS to ampicillin, tigecycline, cefepime, ceftriaxone, linezolid, penicillin, vancomycin, and cefotaxime were all over 99.00%. The resistance rates to levofloxacin, erythromycin, clindamycin, and moxifloxacin were 53.68%,72.29%,63.20%,and 54.11%,respectively. Conclusion GBS is highly sensitive to β-lactam drugs and highly resistant to quinolones and macrolides, and the resistance test for GBS still need to be strengthened.
