Analysis of the clinical value of microbiological examination in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with infectious diseases
Objective To analyze the clinical value of microbiological examination in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients with infectious diseases. Methods 110 patients with urinary tract infections as the research subjects were randomly divided into traditional group and new group, each consisting of 55 cases. The traditional group relied solely on the experience of staff to select therapeutic drugs without using any testing methods. The new group reasonably selected clinical drugs based on the results of microbial susceptibility testing to avoid the emergence of drug-resistant strains that were ineffective in treating infections. The degree of infection after treatment was compared between the two groups. Results After treatment,in the traditional group,18 cases (32.73%) were mildly infected,23 cases (41.82%) were moderately infected and 14 cases (25.45%) were severely infected;in the new group,36 cases (65.45%) were mildly infected,13 cases (23.64%) were moderately infected and 6 cases (10.91%) were severely infected. Compared with the traditional group, the infection degree was lower in the new group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of microbiological testing plays a significant role in the implementation of infection control in hospitals, and its application value is high. It can achieve outstanding results in detecting pathogenic bacteria and predicting transmission routes. Therefore,it is worth further promoting and applying in clinical practice.
