Analgesic effect and safety analysis of oxybuprocaine gel in manual separation of adherent prepuce in children
Objective To analyze the analgesic effect and safety analysis of oxybuprocaine gel in manual separation of adherent prepuce in children. Methods A total of 86 children receiving manual separation of adherent prepuce were divided into a study group (43 cases) and a control group (43 cases) according to different analgesic drugs. Children in the control group did not use any analgesic drugs, and children in the study group used oxybuprocaine gel for analgesia. The hemodynamic indexes before and after analgesia, analgesia at 0.5 and 2 h postoperatively, total operation time and pain recovery time, and the occurrence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results Before analgesia, there were no significant differences in hemodynamic indexes between the two groups (P>0.05). After analgesia, the heart rate of (95.31±5.18) beats/min in the study group was lower than (100.46±6.29) beats/min in the control group;the respiratory rate and oxygen saturation were (20.15±1.03) beats/min and (98.01±0.32)% in the study group, which were higher than (18.36±1.25) beats/min and (96.05±0.48)% in the control group;the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). At 2 h postoperatively, the analgesia score in both groups were lower than that at 0.5 h postoperatively in this group;at 0.5 and 2 h postoperatively, the analgesic scores were (5.01±0.76) and (3.54±1.05) points in the study group, which were lower than (7.52±0.78) and (4.92±1.01) points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The study group had total operation time of (26.46±4.21) min and pain recovery time of (73.43±10.41) min, which were shorter than (31.54±5.16) and (122.57±15.32) min in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The complication rate of 6.98% in the study group was lower than 23.26% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of oxybuprocaine gel in the manual separation of adherent prepuce in children has better analgesic effect, and can effectively improve the hemodynamic indexes of children, effectively reduce the pain level of children, reduce the operation time of children, and will not have serious complications, with high safety.
