Clinical observation of modified Qifu decoction combined with donepezil in the treatment of vascular dementia with deficiency of marrow-reservoir
Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified Qifu decoction combined with donepezil in the treatment of patients with vascular dementia (VD) with deficiency of marrow-reservoir. Methods 84 VD patients with deficiency of marrow-reservoir were divided into an observation group (42 cases) and a control group (42 cases). The control group was treated with donepezil, and the observation group was treated with modified Qifu decoction and donepezil. The activities of daily living (ADL) score and mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score before and after treatment, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of ADL and MMSE in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment;the observation group had ADL score of (59.45±5.64) points and MMSE score of (24.47±2.79) points, which were significantly higher than (50.74±5.06) and (20.32±2.51) points in the control group (P<0.05). The total clinical effective rate of 92.86% in the observation group was significantly higher than 76.19% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of modified Qifu decoction and donepezil is effective in treating vascular dementia patients with deficiency of marrow-reservoir,which can effectively improve the patients' activities of daily living and cognitive level.
