Analysis of the application effect of articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of knee arthritis
Objective To explore the application effect of articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of knee arthritis. Methods A total of 100 patients with knee arthritis were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group and sodium hyaluronate treatment group, with 50 cases in each group. The sodium hyaluronate treatment group was given articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate, and the traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group was given articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation. Patients in both groups were compared in terms of clinical effect, knee function score before and after treatment, serum inflammatory factor level before and after treatment, and American Knee Society (AKS) score before and after treatment. Results The total clinical effective rate in the traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group (94.00%) was significantly higher than that in the sodium hyaluronate treatment group (68.00%),the study data was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the pain, stiffness and joint function scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment;in the traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group, the pain score was (5.27±0.59) points, the stiffness score was (2.53±0.34) points and the joint function score was (22.15±2.83) points, which were lower than (8.23±1.35),(4.27±1.06) and (26.41±4.37) points in the sodium hyaluronate treatment group (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group had interleukin-6 (IL-6) of (54.26±3.64) ng/L,C-reactive protein (CRP) of (3.15±0.28) mg/L and D-dimer (D-D) of (103.08±8.51) ng/ml,which were lower than (72.45±8.39) ng/L,(5.08±1.82) mg/L and (126.21±14.39) ng/ml in the sodium hyaluronate treatment group (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine combined treatment group had knee score of (80.57±5.03) points and functional score of (85.18±5.19) points, which were significantly higher than (70.26±5.01) and (75.45±5.07) points in the sodium hyaluronate treatment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Articular cavity injection of sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation is effective in the treatment of knee arthritis, which can not only significantly relieve pain and stiffness, but also reduce inflammatory response, and has clinical promotion value.
