Detection of primary hypertension in the physical examination population and investigation of the correlation of primary hypertension with blood rheology and heart rate variability
Objective To explore the detection of primary hypertension in the physical examination population and the correlation of primary hypertension with blood rheology and heart rate variability. Methods 862 patients who underwent physical examination were selected for the study and the detection rate of primary hypertension was counted.Among them,226 healthy subjects were selected for control.Comparison was made on blood rheology indicators (whole blood viscosity, whole blood reduced viscosity) and heart rate variability indicators[percentage difference between adjacent NN intervals more than 50 ms (PNN50),root mean square of the successive normal sinus R-R interval difference (rMSSD),standard diviation of NN intervals (SDNN) and standard diviation average of NN intervals (SDANN)]among patients with different grades of hypertension and healthy subjects.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation of primary hypertension with blood rheology and heart rate variability in patients with primary hypertension. Results A total of 226 cases of primary hypertension were detected in 862 patients who underwent physical examination, with a detection rate of 26.22%.The whole blood viscosity at low, medium and high shear of patients with primary hypertension were (5.63±0.56),(6.93±0.98) and (12.17±1.73) mPa·s,and those of healthy subjects were (4.71±0.33),(6.10±0.63) and (9.63±1.26) mPa·s.The whole blood reduced viscosity at low, medium and high shear of patients with primary hypertension were (8.05±1.35),(11.15±1.33) and (18.76±2.73) mPa·s,and those of healthy subjects were (6.53±1.11),(9.01±1.03) and (15.23±2.29) mPa·s.PNN50,rMSSD,SDNN,and SDANN of patients with primary hypertension were (13.10±1.26)%,(22.01±1.96) ms,(105.35±12.71) ms,and (101.35±15.69) ms,and those of healthy subjects were (16.50±1.51)%,(26.79±2.32) ms,(136.71±15.32) ms,and (126.86±20.06) ms.The blood rheology indicators of patients with primary hypertension were significantly higher than those of healthy subjects, and the heart rate variability indicators were significantly lower than those of healthy subjects. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Comparison of blood rheology indicators and heart rate variability indicators in patients with different grades of hypertension, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The whole blood viscosity and whole blood reduced viscosity of patients with grade 3 hypertension were significantly higher than those of patients with grade 1 and 2 hypertension, and the whole blood viscosity and whole blood reduced viscosity of patients with grade 2 hypertension were significantly higher than those of patients with grade 1 hypertension. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The heart rate variability indicators of patients with grade 3 hypertension were significantly lower than those of patients with grade 1 and 2 hypertension, and the heart rate variability indicators of patients with grade 2 hypertension were significantly lower than those of patients with grade 1 hypertension. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that blood pressure in patients with primary hypertension was positively correlated with blood rheology indicators and negatively correlated with heart rate variability indicators (P<0.05).Conclusion The detection rate of primary hypertension is high in the physical examination population.Blood rheology and heart rate variability are closely related to blood pressure levels, and their relative abnormalities are of high clinical detection value in patients with primary hypertension.
