Effect analysis of amlodipine combined with telmisartan on elderly patients with hypertension in community
Objective To explore the effect of amlodipine combined with telmisartan on elderly patients with hypertension in community,so as to provide basis for clinical application. Methods A total of 70 elderly patients with hypertension in community were enrolled in the study, and were divided into a control group and an experimental group according to random numerical table, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with amlodipine, and the study group was treated with telmisartan on the basis of the control group. The blood pressure before and after treatment, efficacy, and adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP),24 h mean DBP,24 h mean SBP in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in systolic blood pressure variability (SBPV) and diastolic blood pressure variability (DBPV) between the two groups before and after treatment between and within the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 94.29%,which was significantly higher than 77.14% of the control group (P<0.05).During the medication period, the incidence rate of adverse reactions in the experimental group and the control group was 8.57% and 11.43%,respectively,and there was no significant difference in comparison (P>0.05).Conclusion The application of amlodipine combined with telmisartan in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension in community can better control and stabilize blood pressure, improve treatment effect, and have good safety, which has important clinical significance.
