Comparison of the efficacy of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and pneumatic lithotripsy in the treatment of ureteral calculi
Objective To compare the effect of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and pneumatic lithotripsy in the treatment of ureteral calculi. Methods 100 patients diagnosed with ureteral calculi who received surgical treatment were selected as the research subjects, and the patients were divided into the observation group(n=50,receiving ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy)and the control group(n=50,receiving ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy)according to the difference of surgical methods.Patients in both groups were compared in terms of surgical outcome indicators(success of one-time lithotripsy, stone clearance, second operation),surgical indicators(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, hospitalization cost),and incidence of adverse events. Results In the observation group, the success rate of one-time lithotomy was 98.00%and the stone clearance rate was 96.00%,which were higher than 86.00%and 80.00%in the control group, and the differences were significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the rate of second operation between the two groups(P>0.05).The operation time of(43.01±5.16)min in the observation group was significantly shorter than(53.02±7.16)min in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time and hospitalization cost between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 8.00%(4/50),which was significantly lower than 24.00%(12/50)in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy, ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy is helpful to shorten the operation time, increase the success rate of one-time lithotripsy and the stone clearance rate, and reduce the incidence of perioperative adverse events, which has good popularization and application value.
