Clinical value analysis of low-dose atorvastatin calcium combined with amlodipine besylate in elderly hypertensive patients
Objective To observe the clinical value of low-dose atorvastatin calcium combined with amlodipine besylate in elderly hypertensive patients. Methods 50 elderly patients diagnosed with hypertension were randomly divided into a control group and a study group according to random numerical table, each consisting of 25 patients. The control group was treated with amlodipine besylate, and the study group was treated with low-dose atorvastatin calcium combined with amlodipine besylate. The blood pressure levels and blood lipid indicators before and after treatment, treatment effect, andadverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were(82.62±3.46)mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),(122.29±4.18)mm Hg,(3.18±0.79)mmol/L,(1.36±0.24)mmol/L,(1.18±0.12)mmol/L,and(2.21±0.07)mmol/L in the study group, which were significantly improved compared with those before treatment in this group, and were better than(86.77±4.29)mm Hg,(129.97±6.20)mm Hg,(6.92±0.68)mmol/L,(3.43±0.48)mmol/L,(0.86±0.09)mmol/L,and(4.48±1.08)mmol/L in the control group. There were significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure of the control group were lower than those before treatment, and there was significant differences(P<0.05),but the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, and low density lipoprotein cholesterol did not show any significant differences compared with those before treatment(P>0.05).The total effective rate of 96.00%in the study group was higher than 68.00%in the control group, and there was significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For elderly hypertensive patients, the implementation of amlodipine besylate tablets can control the patient's blood pressure level. However, combined use of low-dose atorvastatin calcium tablets can improve blood lipid indicators and improve treatment effectiveness while maintaining stable blood pressure levels, without increasing adverse drug reactions. The combination therapy is safe and worthy of clinical promotion.
