Analysis of efficacy and safety of the combination of vonoprazan and amoxicillin in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection
Objective To analyze the effect and safety of the combination of vonoprazan and amoxicillin in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection. Methods 110 patients with Hp infection were enrolled and divided into an observation group(n=55)and a control group(n=55)according to random numerical table. The control group received a quadruple therapy based on proton pump inhibitor(PPI),and the observation group received dual therapy of vonoprazan and amoxicillin. The study completion,Hp eradication rate and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results There was no significant difference in study completion rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The results of intention-to-treat(ITT)analysis showed that the Hp eradication rates of the observation group and control group were 87.3%and 80.0%,respectively,with no statistical difference(P>0.05).The per protocol(PP)analysis showed that Hp eradication rates in the observation and control groups were 92.3%and 88.0%,respectively,with no statistical difference(P>0.05).In the observation group,7 cases had adverse reactions, including 2 cases of nausea and vomiting,2 cases of abdominal pain and 7 cases of abdominal distension, the incidence of adverse reactions was 13.5%.In the control group,15 cases had adverse reactions, including 2 cases of nausea and vomiting,3 cases of abdominal pain,1 case of diarrhea,4 cases of abdominal distension,2 cases of abnormal taste,2 cases of dizziness,1 case of rash, the incidence of adverse reactions was 30.0%.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy and safety of vonoprazan+amoxicillin in the treatment of Hp infection are satisfactory.
