Clinical observation of hysteroscopic curettage combined with Mirena in the treatment of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of hysteroscopic curettage combined with levonorgestrel intrauterine system(trade name:Mirena)in the treatment of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding. Methods A total of 62 patients with perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB)were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment methods, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with hysteroscopic curettage, and the observation group was treated with hysteroscopic curettage and Mirena. The therapeutic effect, endometrial thickness, hemoglobin(Hb)level and occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of 93.55%in the observation group was higher than 74.19%in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the endometrial thickness in both groups was lower than that before treatment, and Hb level was higher than that before treatment;the observation group had lower endometrial thickness of(5.51±0.36)mm than(6.58±0.65)mm in the control group, and higher Hb of(98.63±4.22)g/L than(87.30±3.54)g/L in the control group;the difference was significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of 16.13%in the observation group was lower than 41.94%in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Hysteroscopic curettage combined with Mirena is significantly effective in the treatment of patients with perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding. It can not only increase the Hb level, but also improve the endometrial thickness, and reduce the occurrence of subsequent recurrence.
