Effect observation of oral contraceptives in preventing recurrence after hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy
Objective To observe the effect of oral contraceptives in preventing recurrence after hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy.Methods 60 patients with endometrial polyp were selected.According to different treatment methods,the patients were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy,while the patients in the observation group were treated with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy and oral contraceptives.The menstrual recovery at 6 months after operation,recurrence and endometrial thickness before and after operation were compared between the two groups.Results In the control group,7 patients recurred at 6 months after operation,and the recurrence rate was 23.33%;in the observation group,1 patient recurred at 6 months after operation,and the recurrence rate was 3.33%.The recurrence rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group,19 patients recovered menstruation at 6 months after operation,the recovery rate was 63.33%;in the observation group,27 patients recovered menstruation at 6 months after operation,the recovery rate was 90.00%;the recovery rate of menstruation in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before operation,there was no significant difference in endometrial thickness between the two groups(P>0.05).At 3 and 6 months after operation,the endometrial thickness were(6.12±0.88)and(4.42±0.56)mm in the observation group,which were lower than(7.63±1.05)and(5.84±1.34)mm in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Oral contraceptives after hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of endometrial polyp,improve the recovery rate of menstruation,and reduce the thickness of endometrium.It is worthy of promotion.
