Effect of atorvastatin calcium combined with butylphthalide sequential therapy in the treatment of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease and its influence on neurological functions
Objective To explore the effect of atorvastatin calcium combined with butylphthalide sequential therapy in the treatment of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease and its influence on neurological functions. Methods A total of 64 patients with acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease were selected and divided into a conventional group and an observation group by simplified random table method, with 32 cases in each group. The conventional group was given antiplatelet aggregation, cerebrovascular dilation and other conventional symptomatic treatments, while the observation group was given atorvastatin calcium combined with butylphthalide sequential therapy on the basis of the conventional group. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score and Barthel index (BI) score before and after treatment, therapeutic effect and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with 81.25% in the conventional group, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher at 96.88% (P<0.05). After treatment,NIHSS score and BI score in both groups improved compared with those before treatment;the observation group had NIHSS score of (5.13±0.67) points and BI score of (90.94±9.62) points, which were significantly better than (9.57±0.82) and (75.59±7.38) points in the conventional group (P<0.05). Compared with 21.88% in the conventional group, the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower at 3.13% (P<0.05). Conclusion Atorvastatin calcium combined with butylphthalide sequential therapy shows significant efficacy and safety for the treatment of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease, and the patients' neurological function has recovered well after treatment, and the daily living ability has improved significantly. It has the value and significance of clinical research.
