Observation on clinical efficacy of acupoint application of self-made antipyretic formula combined with oseltamivir in children with influenza
Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupoint application of self-made antipyretic formula combined with oseltamivir in children with influenza. Methods 64 cases of children with influenza were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group by random numerical table,with 32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oseltamivir granules,and the observation group was treated with acupoint application of self-made antipyretic formula+oseltamivir granules. The therapeutic effect,symptom disappearance time and the changes of C-reactive protein (CRP),white blood cell count (WBC) and neutrophil count (NETU) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment,the total effective rate of 96.88％ in the observation group was higher than 78.13％ in the control group (P<0.05). The disappearance time of fever,cough,sore throat,nasal congestion,headache and fatigue in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,CRP levels in both groups were decreased,and the CRP level of (7.21±1.27) mg/L in the observation group was lower than (10.83±2.31) mg/L in the control group;the levels of WBC and NETU in both groups were increased,and the levels of WBC and NETU in the observation group were (7.27±1.34)×109/L and (10.37±1.87)×109/L,which were higher than (6.28±0.93)×109/L and (8.37±1.53)×109/L in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupoint application of self-made antipyretic formula combined with oseltamivir in the treatment of children's influenza can shorten the symptom disappearance time,reduce the inflammatory response,and regulate the expression level of WBC and NETU. It is safe,and can be popularized and applied in the clinic.
