Analysis of the effects of low-temperature plasma adenoid ablation and dynamic system adenoidectomy in the treatment of children with chronic sinusitis and adenoid hypertrophy
Objective To observe the effects of low-temperature plasma adenoid ablation and dynamic system adenoidectomy in the treatment of children with chronic sinusitis and adenoid hypertrophy. Methods 150 children diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and adenoid hypertrophy were divided into a control group and a study group according to different surgical plans, each with 75 cases. The control group was treated with dynamic system adenoidectomy, and the study group was treated with low-temperature plasma adenoid ablation. The symptom scores and perioperative indexes before and after treatment, clinical efficacy and family satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss of(2.24±0.61)ml in the study group was less than(4.87±0.95)ml in the control group, the operation time of(36.32±2.28)min was shorter than(52.86±6.45)min in the control group, and the postoperative pain score of(3.34±0.44)points was lower than(6.25±1.28)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of morning cough, nasal congestion, snoring, and runny nose of children in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, comparison of scores of morning cough, nasal congestion, snoring, and runny nose between the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was slightly higher than that of the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The satisfaction of the families with the treatment in the study group was 100.00%,which was higher than 92.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the selection of treatment modalities for children with chronic sinusitis and adenoid hypertrophy,low-temperature plasma adenoid ablation has obvious advantages in reducing intraoperative blood loss, shortening operation time and relieving pain, and increases family satisfaction with the treatment, yielding favorable outcomes.
