Efficacy of modified Huatan Quyu Decoction on patients with acute cerebral infarction and its influence on neurological function and living ability
Objective To explore the efficacy of modified Huatan Quyu Decoction on patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI)and its influence on neurological function and living ability. Methods 92 patients with ACI were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, and the observation group was treated with modified Huatan Quyu Decoction on the basis of the control group. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score, activities of daily living scale(ADL)score, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score before and after treatment, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment,NIHSS score and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and ADL score was higher than that before treatment;the observation group had NIHSS score of(14.65±1.53)points and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of(4.54±1.03)points,which were lower than(19.24±1.96)and(6.36±1.21)points in the control group;ADL score of(71.86±4.31)points in the observation group was higher than(62.35±4.17)points in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of 86.96%in the observation group was significantly higher than 67.39%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of modified Huatan Quyu Decoction in the treatment of ACI can effectively improve the neurological function and living ability of patients, enhance the clinical efficacy, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
