Objective To explore the effect of early rehabilitation training on the occurrence of delirium in intensive care unit(ICU)patients. Methods A total of 88 patients admitted to the ICU were selected as observation subjects. They were divided into a control group(routine rehabilitation training)and an observation group(early rehabilitation training)based on a random lottery method, each consisting of 44 cases. The incidence of delirium, recovery indicators, and analgesic drug use of the two groups were compared. Results After 2 and 4 d of intervention, the incidence rates of delirium in the observation(15.91%and 4.55%)were lower than those of the control group(36.36%and 20.45%),and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).The observation group had duration of mechanical ventilation of(3.52±1.18)d and length of ICU stay of(6.22±1.04)d,which were shorter than(5.12±1.56)and(8.58±1.34)d in the control group, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in duration of analgesic drug use, propofol dosage, dexmedetomidine dosage, midazolam dosage between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Early rehabilitation training during the treatment of ICU patients has a definite clinical effect, which can reduce the incidence of delirium, accelerate the progress of body rehabilitation, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
