Research Progress of Cardioneuroablation in the Treatment of Functional Sinus Node Dysfunction
The dysregulation of cardiac autonomic nervous system may be the pathogenesis of patients with functional sinus node dysfunction (SND).Cardioneuroablation (CNA) is a new therapy option for SND.CAN could increase heart rate and improve symptoms in patients with vagally mediated bradycardia by ablating cardiac ganglionated plexu (GP).This review summarizes recent studies on the application of CNA to treat patients with functional SND in terms of patient selection,GP localization methods, cardiac autonomic nervous system, efficiency and safety. This review highlights that CNA may be an alternative therapeutic option to pacemaker implantation in patients with functional SND,further studies with more samples and longer follow-up time are needed to confirm the efficacy of CNA for SND.
