A review of deficits in response inhibition of obsessive-compulsive disorder
Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is a prevalent and profoundly debilitating mental disorder characterized by various cognitive impairments.Among them, deficiency in response inhibition may be a potential endophenotype, playing a critical role in comprehending the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of OCD and facilitating the development of novel clinical treatment approaches. This article reviews the response inhibition defi-cit in OCD,including its neural mechanisms and the effects of clinical interventions,in order to provide evidence for further understanding of the response inhibition deficit in OCD and promote the clinical diagnosis and treatment of OCD.
