Validity and reliability of the Not Just Right Experiences Questionnaire Revised in clinical and community populations
Objective:To evaluate the validty and reliability of the Not Just Right Experiences Questionnaire Revised(NJRE-Q-R)in clinical and community populations. Methods:Totally 238 patients diagnosed with obsess-ive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, and anxiety disorder were recruited according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition(DSM-5),and 201 normal controls were enrolled. The subjects were evaluated with the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale,NJRE-Q-R,Beck Depression Inventory, and Beck Anxiety Inventory to measure their clinical symptoms.Validity was tested through exploratory factor anal-ysis and confirmatory factor analysis.Cronbach α coefficient was used to test the reliability of the questionnaire.Re-sults:Exploratory factor analysis showed the NJRE-Q-R category scale contained 3 dimensions, and the single di-mension structure of the NJRE-Q-R severity scale was good.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the structural model of the NJRE-Q-R category scale and severity scale fitted well(x2/df=1.66,CFI=0.95,RMSEA=0.06;x2/df=2.71,CFI=0.92,RMSEA=0.11).The Cronbach α coefficients of the NJRE-Q-R category scale and se-verity scale were 0.73 and 0.96 respectively. Conclusion:The Not Just Right Experiences Questionnaire Revised showed good reliability and validity in clinical and community populations.
