Probe molecules of Eu (MAA) 3 phen,Eu0.5 Dy0.5 (MAA) 3 phen,Eu0.5 Y0.5 (MAA) 3 phen and Eu0.5 Nd0.5 (MAA)3phen were prepared by using europium oxide (Eu2O3),dysprosium oxide (Dy2O3),yttrium oxide (Y2O3) neodymium oxide (Nd2O3),methacrylate (MAA) and phenanthroline (phen).A series of temperature sensitive paints were obtained by the polymerization of different probe molecules, methyl methacrylate (MMA) and the initiator of benzoyl peroxide (BPO).The structure, morphology, luminescence property of probe molecules and the temperature quenching property of temperature sensitive paints were characterized by infrared spectrometer, energy dispersive spectrometer, fluorescence spectrometer and scanning electron microscopy. The effect of doping different rare earth ions on the luminescence property of probe molecules and the temperature quenching property of temperature sensitive paints was studied. It indicated that rare earth ions (RE3 +) and MAA were coordinated and phen was involved in,and the structure of Eu (MAA) 3 phen was not destroyed when doped with ions by the results. It was demonstrated that y3+ had a sensitizing effect and Dy3+,Nd3+ have unequally quenching effects on the fluorescence of Eu(MAA)3phen.The temperature sensitive paints have favorable temperature quenching properties at the temperature range of 25 ~65 ℃.It was analyzed that the temperature sensitive paint based Eu0.5 Y0.5 (MAA) 3phen had a better application value comprehensively.
