Effect of Relevant Experimental Factors on Photocatalytic Activity of CeO2@C using Acid Dye as Carbon Source
CeO2@C was synthesized by hydrothermal and calcination method using Ce(NO3)3·6H2O as cerium source and acid Orange 7(AO7)as carbon source. The structure and morphology of the synthesized samples were characterized by FT-IR,XRD,Raman,XPS,UV-VIS and SEM techniques and the results show that the resulted CeO2@C is fluorite face-centered cubic structure and has a similar circular shape.AO7 was used as the probe molecule to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of the prepared CeO2@C and the effects of AO7 content, hydrothermal temperature and calcination temperature on the photocatalytic activity of the resulted catalyst were investigated. The results show that the synthesized CeO2@C performs the best photocatalytic activity when the mass percentage of Ce(NO3)3·6H2O and AO7 is 145∶1,the hydrothermal temperature is 180 ℃,and the calci-nation temperature is 6OO ℃.
