Progress in Application of Upconverted Rare Earth Composite Materials in Photocatalysis
The research progress on upconverted rare earth composite materials in the field of photocatalysis is reviewed comprehensively in this paper.Five different upconversion processes are introduced to provide a foundation for subsequent discussions.Subsequently,the different types of rare earth upconversion materials,including rare earth fluorides,rare earth sesquioxides,and semiconductor-based photocatalysts doped with RE3+ions are summarized in detail.The principles,preparation methods,and applications of these materials in the field of photocatalysis are systematically summarized.Finally,the future application of upconverted rare earth composite materials in the field of photocatalysis is prospected,highlighting the issues that need to be further researched and resolved,and providing reference value for related fields of research.
