Analysis of anemia status and influencing factors of female college fresh-men at a university in Beijing
Objective To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of anemia among female college fresh-men at a university in Beijing,to provide evidence for better intervention and improvement of anemia.Methods A total of 1 128 female college freshmen in 2022 from a university in Beijing were selected as the research subjects by cluster random sampling,their basic information and lifestyle in the past year were investigated,and the results of the physical examination of freshmen were collected,and the influencing factors of anemia of these freshmen were analyzed by binary logistic regres-sion.Results The prevalence of anemia among female college freshmen was 15.96%,and there was no moderate or severe anemia.Meat intake of≥3 times/d(OR=0.512,95%CI:0.317-0.827)was a protective factor for female college freshmen,and the Western region(0R=1.603,95%CI:1.074-2.391)and the intake of fried food ≥ 1 time/week(OR=1.729,95%CI:1.239-2.412)were the risk factors for anemia of female college freshmen.Conclusion The area of origin and dietary intake affect the risk of anemia among female college freshmen,and it is necessary to pay more attention to the problem of anemia of female college students from Western provinces and help students develop scientific dietary habits to prevent anemia among them.
