Meta-analysis of efficacy of Kangfuxin liquid combined with minocycline hydrochloride ointment in treatment of chronic periodontitis
Objective To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Kangfuxin liquid combined with minocy-cline hydrochloride in the treatment of chronic periodontitis,to provide evidence-based reference for clinical treatment.Methods PubMed,Cochrane,CNKI,WanFang Data,and other databases were searched from 2015 to 2020 to collect clini-cal trial data on Kangfuxin liquid combined with minocycline hydrochloride versus minocycline hydrochloride.A Cochrane systematic review was used to assess the quality of the articles,and a Meta-analysis of the included studies was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software.Results A total of 16 randomized controlled studies were included,and the results of Meta-analysis showed that the total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group[RR=1.22,95％CI(1.16-1.28),P＜0.001];In the experimental group,interleukin-8[SMD=-2.04,95％CI(-2.88 to-1.19),P＜0.001],periodontal pocket depth[SMD=-2.98,95％CI(-3.66 to-2.30),P＜0.001],tumor necrosis factor-α[SMD=-1.29,95％CI(-1.52 to-1.05),P＜0.001].There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups[RR=0.76,95％CI(0.41 to 1.43),P=0.40].Conclusion The combination of Kangfuxin liquid and minocy-cline in patients with chronic periodontitis has a significant clinical effect,is safe,and can improve the clinical symptoms of patients.
