Epidemiological characteristics of notifiable infectious diseases among children and adolescents in Kunshan City from 2017 to 2022
Objective To analyze the incidence of infectious diseases in children and adolescents in recent years,so as to provide a basis for effective prevention and control of notifiable infectious diseases.Methods Descriptive epidemio-logical methods were used to analyze the epidemic data of notifiable infectious diseases among children and adolescents in Kunshan City from 2017 to 2022.Results A total of 16 532 cases of notifiable infectious diseases were reported in Kun-shan City from 2017 to 2022,and the average annual incidence rate of infectious diseases from 2017 to 2019 was 967.76/105,which was higher than that of 705.61/105 from 2020 to 2022(x2=553.801,P<0.05).The incidence rate in urban areas was 1 048.86/105 higher than that in villages and towns(722.26/105)(x2=13.899,P<0.001),and the incidence rate in males was 885.61/105,higher than that in females(766.13/105),and the difference was statistically significant(x2=85.15,P<0.001).Conclusion The prevention and control measures taken during the novel coronavirus infection epidemic from 2020 to 2022 have effectively reduced the reported incidence rate of notifiable infectious diseases,and prevention and control measures such as frequent hand washing and social distancing should continue to be advocated.
