Analysis of monitoring results of absenteeism due to illness of students in Xincheng Street,Xiuzhou District,Jiaxing City during 2019-2021 school years
Objective To investigate the trend and causes of absenteeism due to illness of students in Xincheng Street,Xiuzhou District,Jiaxing City during 2019-2021 school years,so as to provide evidence for preventing the occurrence of students'diseases and reducing the rate of absenteeism due to illness of students.Methods The school monitoring sec-tion of Xiuzhou District Public Health Collaborative Management Platform was used to monitor the absenteeism of all kinder-garten,primary and secondary school students in Xincheng Street,Xiuzhou District,Jiaxing City during 2019-2021 school years,and the changes in the rate of absenteeism due to illness,the changes in the etiological composition of absenteeism due to illness,and the distribution of absenteeism time due to illness were described and analyzed.Results A total of 40 736 students were monitored in the 2019-2021 school years,and the absenteeism rates were 1.97%,2.51%,and 2.28%,respectively,and the absenteeism rate due to illness was the highest in the 2020 school year(P<0.05).In addition to the nurs-ery school,in the 2019-2021 school years,the absenteeism rate due to illness showed a downward trend(P<0.05),and the preschool stage had the highest absenteeism rate due to illness(P<0.05).The incidence of influenza,chickenpox and other diseases was decreasing year by year,while the other seven diseases were increasing year by year.The peaks of absenteeism due to illness were mainly concentrated in December and May.Conclusion The preschool children are still a key group of concern,and respiratory infections are still the main cause of absenteeism due to illness of students.
