Objective This study was aimed at analyzing the epidemiological characteristics of tuberculosis in Donghai County in the past 6 years,to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and cure of tuberculosis.Methods Re-ported cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in people with current addressses in Donghai County from 2017 to 2022 were ana-lyzed with descriptive epidemiological methods.Results A total of 1 575 tuberculosis cases were reported in Donghai Coun-ty from 2017 to 2022.The reported incidence rates in each year were 29.66/100 000,29.85/100 000,23.36/100 000,17.49/100 000,12.23/100 000 and 13.87/100 000,and the annual average reported incidence rate was 21.13/100 000.The annual average reported incidence rate of tuberculosis was 27.62/100 000 from 2017 to 2019 and 14.64/100 000 from 2020 to 2022.A total of 75.43%(1 188/1 575)of the cases were in males,and 24.57%(387/1 575)were in females.Cases in males were concentrated in people 60 years of age or older,accounting for 52.27%(621/1 188),whereas cases in females were concen-trated in people 20-59 years of age,accounting for 54.78%(212/387).Most cases occurred in farmers,accounting for 94.60%(1490/1 575),followed by students,accounting for 2.79%(44/1 575).Quyang,Qinghu and Taolin had the highest re-ported incidence,with annual average incidence rates of 49.88/100 000,37.54/100 000 and 34.99/100 000,respectively.The etiological positivity rate of tuberculosis increased from 40.16%(147/366)to 54.30%(202/372),57.39%(167/291),71.56%(156/218),79.61%(121/152)and 74.43%(131/176)by year.The proportion of the floating population with tubercu-losis first increased and then decreased significantly;the proportions were 5.74%(21/366),9.41%(35/372),14.78%(43/291),15.60%(34/218),0 and 0 by year,respectively.Conclusions The incidence rate showed a showed a downward trend in Donghai County from 2017 to 2022,and the adjustment of COVID-19 prevention and control policies substantially affect-ed the reported incidence rate of tuberculosis in Donghai County.Comprehensive intervention is necessary to pro-mote the prevention and control of tuberculosis.
