Analysis of current situation of Helicobacter pylori infection among teach-ers and staff of a street school in Nanjing City
Objective To investigate the current status and prevention of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection among teachers and staff at different levels in the jurisdiction of Yaohua Street,Qixia District,Nanjing City.Methods The results of the physical examinations of teachers and staff in Yaohua Street,Qixia District,Nanjing City from 2020 to 2021 were ana-lyzed,and a questionnaire survey was conducted on the prevention and treatment of Hp infection among teachers and staff,and the related infections and prevention and control were analyzed.Results There were 674 teachers and staff in three schools in Yaohua Street,Qixia District,Nanjing City,621 of whom participated in two physical examinations and 53 who participated in only one physical examination in two years,with a physical examination rate of 100％.A total of 188 cases were positive for Hp infection in 13C urea breath test,with an infection rate of 30.3％.To prevent the transmission of Hp by others,the proportion of teachers and staff who chose to"bring their utensils to share meals"was 72.0％in kindergarten,35.0％in primary school,and 34.0％in junior high school,and the difference was statistically significant(all P＜0.05).Of the 67 Hp-infected faculty members who received treatment,52(77.6％)were negative after 2 weeks of drug treatment.Conclusion The population infection rate of Hp among school teachers and staff in Qixia District of Nanjing City is low,and it is still necessary to actively carry out personal health and hygiene education to improve the awareness of Hp infection and the success rate of radical treatment.
