The role of multi-modal digital health guidance in the period of rest and recuperation of stroke patients with hemiplegia
Objective To explore the influence of multi-modal digital health guidance on stroke patients with hemi-plegia during home rest. Methods Sixty patients with hemiplegia who were discharged from January 2018 to July 2020 were enrolled. The patients were divided into a study group and a control group using a random number table, giving 30 cases each. The scores for health knowledge before and after discharge(before implementation)and 3 months after discharge(after implementation)were compared between the two groups. After the implementation, the self-management ability scores of the two groups were compared. The upper and lower limb motor function scores and Barthel index scores before and after the im-plementation were also compared. The incidence of adverse events during the rest period of the two groups was counted and compared. Results The scores for health knowledge in the two groups after implementation were significantly higher than those before implementation(t=13.389,9.459,P<0.001),and the scores for health knowledge mastery in the study group af-ter the implementation were significantly higher than those of the control group(t=6.032,P<0.001).The distribution of self-management ability levels of the two groups was significantly different(Z=5.268,P=0.012),and the self-management ability of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(x2=4.320,P=0.038).The upper limb and lower limb motor function scores and Barthel index scores after implementation were significantly higher than those before the imple-mentation(t=10.602,7.999,9.816 5.031,15.119,8.878,all P<0.001),and the above indicators after implementation were significantly higher in the study group than in the control group(t=4.717,4.865,6.177,all P<0.001).The incidence of adverse events during the rest period of the control group was 6.67%,and that of the study group was 3.33%;there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups(x2=0.351,P=0.554).Conclusion Multi-modal digital health guidance can significantly improve the health knowledge of stroke patients with hemiplegia, improve self-management ability, and improve motor function and activities of daily living.
