Resistance to peer influence among college nursing students:Status and influencing factors
Objective To investigate the status of resistance to peer influence and the related influencing factors among college nursing students,to provide a reference for improving the impact of students'companions,and establishing good companion relationships.Methods A total of 375 nursing students from a university were selected.A questionnaire was used to evaluate peer influence resistance.Independent sample t test and ANOVA were used for single factor analysis,and multiple linear regression analysis was used for multi-factor analysis.Results The scores of resistance to peer influence among college nursing students were divided into(2.15±0.34),and most students(54.40%)showed moderate resistance.Sig-nificant differences in resistance to peer influence were observed among nursing students with different places of origin,monthly family income,parental educational level,college achievement,and physical status(all P<0.05).Multiple linear re-gression analysis indicated that monthly family income,father's cultural level,mother's cultural level,and university perfor-mance were the factors influencing resistance to peer influence,which had positive value in predicting the resistance to peer influence among nursing students(all P<0.001).Conclusion Schools should aim to improve the influence of nursing stu-dents on their peers,guide nursing students to establish good companion relationships,and give play to the positive roles of companions.
