Health literacy level and influencing factors among residents of She Coun-ty in 2022
Objective This study was aimed at understanding the health literacy level among residents of She County,China,in 2022,analyzing the factors affecting the health literacy level.Methods A multi-stage cluster sampling and on-site household survey method was used to select 450 non-collective permanent residents 15-69 years of age to investigate ba-sic demographic information and residents'health literacy levels.Data analysis was performed in SPSS software.Results The health literacy level in this cohort was 30.67％.After the age of 30 years,health literacy gradually decreased,whereas with higher education levels the health literacy level increased.The health literacy levels significantly differed across ages and education levels(both P＜0.01).Logistic regression analysis indicated that age,education level,and occupation were the main factors influencing residents'health literacy level(P＜0.05).Conclusion Targeted health education and health promo-tion activities should be performed for older people,people with a low education level,enterprise personnel,and those with other occupations to improve the health literacy level among residents.
